Arts Alive to present "Art in the County"

Art in the County Treasure Hunt! Coming Soon to a Business NearYou Have you heard of Canada's Culture Days? How about Alberta Art Days? This is a nationwide celebration of art and culture, taking place on September 17, 18 and 19. Kneehill County will be the scene of "Art in the County," an art treasure hunt throughout towns in Kneehill, organized and sponsored by Arts Alive in Kneehill. And because we are such art lovers here, our celebration will extend from September 17 to September 30. There will be works of art by local artists, including Norm Harrison (woodworking), Cory Nakaska (pencil drawings), and Lynda Montgomery (drawings and paintings), exhibited in various business throughout the County.
How can you participate? Stop by one of the following businesses to pick up your "Guide to Art Treasures in Kneehill County." Visit the businesses listed in the Guide, view the art on display, and fill out the name of the artwork and the name of the artist. When your Guide is as full as you can make it, turn it in by September 30 to one of the participating businesses, and you will be entered in a draw for one of three beautiful prizes, featuring locally produced items. The more artworks you identify, the greater your chance of winning! Guides and Artworks can be found at the following businesses: Acme: Acme Building Center, Bank of Montreal and Wheelco. Linden: Country Dollar, Global Grounds and Jo-Al Styles. Three Hills: IDA, T.H. Bookstore and T.H. Home Hardware. Trochu: Balkwill's Pharmacy, Trochu Library and Trochu Jewellery.
