Tro-Val hosts Academic Awards



Trochu Valley School held their 2009 - 2010 Academic Awards on October 15 in the school gym.
Over 150 awards and scholarships were presented to our students. Over 65 students received Honor Roll recognition: 15 students received bronze medals for commendable scholastic effort and citizenship; 40 students were awarded silver medals for being the top in their high school course. The top students in each junior and senior high grade received a gold medal. The top music students were recognized as well as our top junior and senior high athletes.
2010 graduates were recognized for their participation in the Tro Val Presents drama productions as well as rewarded with many community and provincial scholarships for their academic effort. The Golden Hills School Division Awards for the students with the highest average in Grade 3 – Keyara Riep, Grade 6 – Jessica Hoppins, Grade 9 – Courtney Morgan and Grade 12 – Shane Wagstaff were presented as well as scholarships and the Premier's Citizenship Award, Alexander Rutherford Scholarships and the Governor General Academic Medal.
