Steve Bell, two-time JUNO Award winner, presented a concert to a full house, in Prairie’s Parable Place, on Sunday, April 9.
His most recent album, “Where the Good Way Lies” was one of the albums nominated this year as the Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year.
He has been advertised as a “Singer, Songwriter and Story Teller”, and while the audience certainly enjoyed the song writing and the singing, it was especially blessed by the story telling as Steve related the personal circumstances that stand behind the songs he has recorded.
A reception in the Maxwell Centre Atrium followed the concert where many were able to meet and greet Steve and add further to the “stories” that were shared.
Brian Doerksen was a special guest artist and he was joined by Carly Reirson to present two of his songs.
On Monday morning Steve presented a Workshop billed as “A Troubadour’s Workshop” which allowed the students in the Music Program to hear further the ‘art ‘ of songwriting and story telling as Steve does it.
