Acme Stampede Breakfast 2018

The Acme Hall Board held their annual Acme Stampede Breakfast on Wednesday morning, July 4 which attracted some special guests. Two gentlemen who happened to be biking by Acme on their way to Drumheller saw the breakfast announcement on Acme’s reader board and decided to partake.

They are part of a group of 20 that are biking from Victoria, B.C., to St. Johns Newfoundland (the Tour du Canada). Ken (Iron) Maiden is from Toronto, Ontario (pictured on the left) and Claude LaPrairie is from Port Dover, Ontario (pictured on the right).

The annual stampede breakfast held at the Acme Community Centre was a free event, with donations accepted. They fed around 150 people and all proceeds over and above expenses will be donated to STARS. The event raised approximately $800 but with amounts not having been fully tallied, this amount is an estimate.
