Aladdin Jr. takes the stage in Trochu

Aladdin Rehearsal

Trochu Valley School (Tro-Val) is presenting the musical drama Aladdin Junior, in three 7:00 pm productions December 12 through 14 and then as part of the dinner theatre Saturday December 15 beginning at 6:00 pm with the performance following. The Trochu Community Hall is the venue for all shows.

Aladdin Jr. is a theatre musical adapted from the 1992 Disney animated film. It is not the newest “Live Action” or Broadway Musical.

The Tro-Val production is another one of the quality shows we have come to expect under Director Keitha Tetreault, Co-Director Marley Lynch and Music Director, Ilona Noble.

The leading characters are all seven year veterans of the Tro-Val Drama group and have Evan Vokins taking the role of Aladdin, Tomi-Lyn Howard as Jasmine, and Joel Frere as Jafar.

The rest of the cast are all students from grades seven through 12. Total cast numbers just over two dozen.

The costumes are “dazzling” … and ‘modest’. The choreography, is as usual, quite a production.

Tickets for the weeknight shows may be purchased at the door but tickets for the dinner theatre must be purchased in advance at the Trochu Valley School during office hours.
