Linden hosts Vintage Parade in lieu of annual Sports Day

Linden Antique Parade

The idea of one Linden resident, Mary Duthie became a reality when on Saturday, June 6 residents were treated to a fairly large parade of vintage, classic and unique cars/trucks that wound its way throughout all the residential streets. It began at 10:00 a.m. at the Linden Lodge and ended at the Westview Care Facility at around noon. This parade was in lieu of the cancellation of the usual Linden Sports Day and Parade, to hopefully put smiles on the faces of residents who have been cooped up for far too long. A horse-drawn wagon brought up the tail end of the parade and it was super fun to witness all the smiles and the waving hands. The Linden Volunteer Fire Department also got in on the act and with at least 15 vintage cars and trucks made for a very lengthy and pleasant parade.
