Swalwell 4-H Beef Club is excited to start back up

4H Canada

The Swalwell 4-H Beef Club had our start up and elections meeting on October 5, 2020 but we were already busy before the meeting. Some of our members volunteered at the Acme/Linden Food Grains supper helping to hand out meals to vehicles in the drive thru. This year we have 14 members in the club 5 Juniors, 5 Intermediate and 4 Seniors and I think it’s safe to say we are all very excited to start this year after a long stretch off last spring.

October 18 came around and we helped the Acme United Church ladies with their drive thru style fall supper. On October 25, seven of our members participated in the Kneehill District Fun-day Swim at the Three Hills Pool covid-style. Even with all the guidelines in place it was very fun. November 9 was our Show your 4-H Colors meeting, it was so much fun. We had four 4-H members receive 4-H Awards of Excellence Wyatt Becker received his silver and Miley Becker, Riley Keiver and Aspen Moore received their bronze. Congratulations to all! We also had a workshop on filling out the new record books. Things are going to be a little different this year due to Covid-19 in how we do some of our events, we are not allowed big groups and we will have to social distance a lot. We will have lots of activities coming up in November and December so keep a look out for those.

Stay safe and stay healthy everyone during these trying times.
