MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR/CAO – The Village of Carbon is accepting applications for a full-time position of Municipal Administrator/CAO. The chosen candidate will be required to be a team player to providing leadership and possessing exceptional communications abilities. Candidates with experience and education in budgeting, finance, and management with a sound understanding of municipal administration and governance will be given preference.

ELECTION DAY – October 16, 2017, at the Community Hall from 10 AM to 8 PM. In order to vote for Village of Carbon Councilor, residents must bring the following ID which shows your civic address such as a Utility bill: e.g. Telephone, public utilities commission, television, electricity, gas or water or Photo identification issued by a Canadian government or agency, whether federal, provincial or a local income/property tax assessment notice. You must also be an Alberta resident 6 month prior to the election date.

OKTOBERFEST – Lions Club is hosting their annual Oktoberfest October 21, 2017. The Library is hosting free breakfast, Donations accepted. 2 Bit Carnival, grade 1-4 fundraiser from 12:30-2:30; cupcake bake sale too. Location Carbon School. Alumni Volleyball Tourney, cost $50 per team; contact Marci Steen at 572-3055 or 820-5077. German Supper at the Hall; sausage, cabbage rolls, perogies, sauerkraut, coleslaw; Cost $15/person; Kids (6-12) $5.00. Cabaret to follow DJ Joel Fabrick; free admission before 10 PM. After 10 PM $10/person.
