WHAT IS THE VILLAGE OF LINDEN

DOING IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19?

Acting out of caution, the Village Office and Public Works Shop were closed to the public effective March 16, 2020. This was done to ensure that we have healthy staff available to continue to provide critical services to our community.

Staff are reporting to work and are available to help you through various means:

Telephone: 403-546-3888; Email: clerk@linden.ca

Drop Box (for manual payments); Online bill payments

Stay up to date by following the Village of Linden Facebook page, visiting www.linden.ca and www.alberta.ca/COVID19

TAX ASSESSMENT NOTICES – Village of Linden assessments were mailed out March 9, 2020. If you have not received one or have any questions regarding this notice, please contact the Village Office. If you have a complaint, contact Rod Viske @ 1-403-343-3357.

SEASONAL SUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT – The Village is accepting applications for Seasonal Employment positions as Public Works Labourers. Main duties include indoor/outdoor clean up, mowing, painting and weed maintenance. Two positions to start June 1, 2020 through to the end of August 2020. Open to applicants ages 15-30 years, 40 hours per week, $15.00/hr. Applicant must be physically fit, drivers license preferred but not required.

Resumes can be dropped off or mailed to the Village Office, 109 Central Avenue East, Box 213 Linden, AB T0M 1J0; emailed to cao@linden.ca or faxed to (403) 546-2112. We thank all candidates that apply; however, only those selected will be contacted. Deadline: May 29, 2020

NOTICE FROM PUBLIC WORKS – The Drumheller Solid Waste Association has suspended their Recycling Services until further notice. As a result, the cardboard and newspaper recycling bins at the Linden Transfer Station and the cardboard recycling bins on the East side of the Village will NOT be emptied at this time. We are asking all our residents to keep all your cardboard and newsprint at your home/business until these services resume.

With the warm weather, we would like to take this time to remind you that yard waste will not be picked up by the Public Works Department. Please take all yard waste to the Linden Transfer Station on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
