2020 TAX NOTICES – In accordance with the Municipal Government Act R.S.A. 2000 M-26 and amendments thereto, notice is hereby given that the 2020 Property Tax notices have been mailed as of June 3, 2020 to the Village of Linden ratepayers. Ratepayers who did not receive their tax notice by the end of June should contact the Village of Linden Office. Property taxes are due July 31, 2020.

At the Regular Council Meeting held on May 25, 2020 Council made a motion to waive penalties for August 1, 2020 and October 1, 2020. However, any unpaid amount on December 31, 2020 will have a twelve percent (12%) penalty on January 1, 2021. Your property tax notice covers the period of January 1 – December 31, 2020.

The Village of Linden offers a Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) for ease of payment on your tax account. If you are interested in signing up or would like some more information, contact the Office at 403-546-3888. Notification of any changes or cancellations of this program need to be brought to the Office seven (7) days prior to the end of the month. You can pay your taxes through online or telephone banking or at the Office via cheque or debit.

Installation of 33m Monopole Telecommunications Facility/Tower

The proposed telecommunications facility will provide enhanced wireless service and capacity to the area, supporting personal and business communications and public access to emergency services.

Any person claiming to be affected by this decision, may appeal to the Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board by serving written notice to the Clerk of the Regional SDAB (c/o Parkland Community Planning Services, Unit B, 4730 Ross Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 1X3) within twenty-one (21) days after the notice of decision. NOTICE FROM PUBLIC WORKS – The Village recently placed two dog waste stations along the coulee pathway and one on the pathway to the nursing home. These dog waste stations contain bags for picking up your pet’s waste. The station on the pathway to the nursing home has a garbage can attached for easy disposal.

COULEE PATHWAY WORK – A section of the pathway in the coulee will be closed for approximately one week while the portion of the pathway is repaired. Please avoid the hill South of the gazebo on the East side of the coulee while work is being completed. Work is to begin on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 weather permitting.
