Acme's 1st Annual Tree Lighting Event

Acme held its first Christmas tree lighting event last Friday evening, December 10th, with about 60 citizens of all ages joining in on the celebration. Kids young and old were bundled up for the minus 13 weather as the large tree on main street was lit up, extending the social time with Christmas caroling, hot chocolate, and cookies. As soon as you enter the doors of the building, you have entered Bethlehem. More than 80 volunteers are dressed in clothing very similar to that era, and are acting as Jewish citizens, vendors and Roman soldiers. Christmas comes alive in Torrington

 

The Christmas bell tinkle from a horse-pulled wagon meandering by with its blanketed passengers of children and parents, crossing the path of sun-sparkling on frost-laden trees was the vista, not of a Norman Rockwell painting, but of Torrington this past Saturday, Dec. 4 as the community celebrated its 5th annual sleigh ride and Christmas event.

I'll Be - Home for Christmas

Home For Christmas - A community Christmas concert was presented by the Three Hills Arts Academy Society Friday, November 26, and Saturday, November 27 at the North Auditorium on Prairie Campus. Just over 600 attended the two nights. A wide selection of Christmas music was performed by the Brass Quintet, Wildrose Chamber Choir, String Quartet, and Handbell Chorus.
