48th Annual Flower, Baking & Photography Show held in Trochu

Leona Pryor, the chief organizer and spokesperson for the Trochu 48th Annual Flower, Baking & Photography Show, was quite pleased with the number and quality of submissions to the event held at the Community Hall on August 16.

Doors opened at 2 pm and refreshments, (home baking, luncheon sandwiches and tea) were being served from 2 to 4 pm. The chicken supper, prepared by Sweet Grass Café, was served at 6:00 pm.

Prairie College to host “Show & Shine”

Prairie College in Three Hills will be hosting a classic car and bike Show & Shine on September 2, 2017, to raise funds in support of needed campus construction projects. Car enthusiast Dave Crossley, who is part of Prairie’s maintenance team, is putting the event together.

The Open Mic and Jam event has moved to the Three Hills Arts Academy, and expects to be open to all every Thursday night until further notice, from 7 to 9 p.m. Hosted by Greg Julas and his band, the Open Mic and Jam welcomes all musicians and singers and other acts to come along prepared to share.
