Crash victims escape serious injury

A one-ton truck driven by a male resident of Carstairs, was northbound on SR#806 on Friday, October 15 at 7:00 am, when it collided with a westbound semi truck (hauling grain) at the intersection of 806 and 583. The cab of the semi became detached from the trailer and laid on its side. It was mangled to a point that its driver and passenger (from Strathmore) had to be extricated but had no apparent serious injuries. "They received cuts and bruises," said Three Hills RCMP.
The driver of the one-ton truck was charged with failing to stop. Linden and Three Hills Fire and Rescue Departments were dispatched to the scene as was Kneehill Ambulance.
