Servus Credit Union contributed to a better world for the residents of Three Hills with a $10,000 donation to the community's Spray Park. Marlene Mullinger, Servus Branch Manager presented the funds to Norm Campion of the Town of Three Hills on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Also in attendance were Three Hills Mayor Tim Shearlaw, Councillors Al Campbell, Ron Howe and Harold Leo, and Chief Administrator Officer Jack Ramsden, Ron Watson and Pat Dau.
"At Servus, our vision is to build a better world - one member at a time," said Marlene Mullinger, Three Hills Branch Manager. "The Spray Park will be a place for families to interact and play. It will help build a strong community, whose residents can grow and dream."
In addition to providing hours of family entertainment, the innovative park features eco-friendly controls, including at Activator Sensor so the park only operates when in use, a recirculation system with an automatic chemical treatment system, and solar water temperature gauge.
"We are thrilled to have the support of both business and industry for this project and we can always count on Servus Credit Union to be involved in these local initiatives," said Mayor Shearlaw. "Three Hills is a great place to raise a family and this facility will ensure that children are busy, active and engaged in safe and enjoyable play."
The Spray Park is nearing completion and will be open to the public next spring.
