BCP marks 25th Anniversary and Grand Opening of new facility

BCP 25 Grand Opening

BCP, a Three Hills-based construction company, took some time out of their working day, on Thursday, June 29, to celebrate their 25th Anniversary and the Grand Opening of their new Three Hills facility.

President and CEO Billy Coles was joined by his family and staff as he presented an historic overview of the company.

Three Hills Mayor Tim Shearlaw and Olds/Didsbury/Three Hills MLA Nathan Cooper, offered greetings and joined in as the official ribbon was cut to officially open the new facility.

The official ceremony was followed by lunch and tours of the grounds and facility.

BCP got its start in residential construction, developed into general construction and later added heavy equipment and mechanical divisions plus a full office staff. BCP is staffed by an established core of long-term, skilled and experienced employees.

Local construction has encompassed commercial builds, residential homes and two subdivision developments. As a member of Alberta New Home Warranty Program since 2007, BCP has been a service award recipient every year since membership began.

Through the years, BCP has been involved with over 200 Hotel builds across Western Canada, in the capacity of General Contractor since 2005. This has resulted in the great honor of receiving the Developer of the Year Award from Choice Hotels Canada in both 2012 and 2015.

BCP recently developed a better and more efficient way of constructing hotels using concrete and steel modular technology, revolutionizing module construction. The result is sound proof rooms, waste reduction environmentally controlled building conditions and increased cost effectiveness. This new innovation can be adapted to most design parameters. A fully completed modular hotel room was open, on location, for all to see at the celebration.

BCP is presently constructing a 105 room, six storey, concrete and steel hotel, under the Comfort Inn and Suites Brand, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Ground work began in 2016, and modular construction is presently underway.
