Kneehill Medical Clinic welcomes Dr. Funke Ojomu

Dr. Ojomu

The doctors and staff of the Kneehill Medical Clinic are pleased to welcome Dr. Funke Ojomu to their clinic. She has successfully completed her assessment with the College of Physicians and Surgeons and will be working full-time at KMC.

Dr. Ojomu’s initial focus will be working with patients who have NO family doctor. If you do not have a family doctor and you saw her during her three-month assessment period, please call the clinic and ask our receptionists to mark her as your family doctor. If you have never met with her as a patient, then we request you book an appointment by calling (403) 443-5522.

Up until January 1, 2018 Dr. Ojomu will not be accepting patients into her practice who currently have another family doctor, whether at KMC or another clinic. This is to provide those patients who have been without a consistent doctor, a chance to sign up with her.

Dr. Ojomu was born in northern Nigeria and attended local primary and secondary schools in western Nigeria. She completed her Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She then proceeded for five years of residency training in family medicine at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria, and obtained a fellowship with the West African College of Physicians in Family Medicine (FWACP). Her passion for proactive care in family practice prompted her to complete a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She also has a diploma in Occupational Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK. She has worked as a family physician and trainer in various hospitals both in rural communities and cities. Dr. Ojomu’s medical practice covers all ages, and she also provides hospital and emergency coverage
