Emergency Services attend rollover on Highway 806

Acme 806 Rollover

Police and Emergency Services were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Friday evening, approximately 11:40 p.m., April 6. The accident occurred just passed the curves north of Acme on Highway 806. The female driver of a sedan was northbound when she lost control on what was described as icy road conditions. She did not require extrication by rescue personnel. The driver was the lone occupant and was transported to hospital, where she was later released. Acme Fire Department and Linden Fire & Rescue were in attendance at the scene. Police would like to warn the public that the changing weather patterns can sometimes result in black ice and to be especially careful as road conditions can change from mile to mile depending on circumstances. RCMP advise, “It may be considered to be spring but the roads remain more like winter, depending on changing temperatures, blowing snow and time of day. Drive with caution.”
