Prairie College Worship Arts hosts Fundraiser Concert

Students in Prairie College’s Music and Worship Arts Program showcased songs from their upcoming EP projects. An EP is a short CD with 4-5 songs on it, and each student is getting ready to begin recording their songs. Thursday’s concert was a fundraiser for the students, and a way for fellow students and community members to hear what the music students have been working on. The students showed great diversity in style, including rock and roll sets, acoustic piano ballads, church and worship music, and folksy numbers.

“A big thank you to all those who came out and supported the students” says Program Coordinator for Music and Worship Arts, Dr. Mark Jonah, adding “It was a wonderful evening of diverse and interesting music. I’m excited to hear the songs again when they are recorded!” The EP’s will be released in April with a celebratory showcase concert.
