Prairie Aviation Training Centre (PATC) and partner, Missionary Aviation Fellowship (MAF) hosted a “Fly-In and BBQ” at the Three Hills Airport on June 15, from 10:00 AM. - 2:00 PM.

Designed to inform and/or update supporters and future aviators about the PATC and the work of MAF worldwide, the activities and highlights included an introduction to the Flight Simulator, a VR experience, tours of the facilities, and flights for those wanting to take advantage of the opportunity, and a BBQ of burgers and hotdogs.

A short presentation of the MAF mission and the opportunities of training and ministry of PATC was presented by Greg Reeder, Western Development Manager of MAF; Dallas Derksen, PATC Flight Instructor; Kalvin Hidebrandt, Managing Director of PATC and Lowell Deering, Vice President, Operations & Recruiting for MAF Canada.

Close to 100 friends were in attendance with most having come in by car, a few having flown in, and at least two arriving by bicycle.

Weather-wise, the absence of rain, some sunshine and a bit of a breeze made for a good time.
