Jerry Wittstock acclaimed Reeve at County Organizational Meeting

The Kneehill County Organizational meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2020.

During the organizational meeting, the County nominated and acclaimed Jerry Wittstock as Reeve, nominated and acclaimed Faye McGhee as Deputy Reeve.

The seating arrangement in the council chambers was elected as followed: Seat 1: Councillor Christie, Seat 2: Councillor Penner, Seat 3: Councillor Hugo, Reeve Wittstock, Deputy Reeve McGee, Seat 4: Councillor Keiver, Seat 5: Councillor King.

Agenda item 6.0, regular council meeting dates for 2021. Council approved the scheduling of the 2021 meeting dates will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of:

July- Schedule one meeting for July 20, 2021

August- Schedule one meeting for Aug.17, 2021

Cancel the Nov. 23, 2021 Council Meeting as it conflicts with Fall RMA Conference.

December- Schedule one meeting for Dec. 14, 2021

Agenda item 7.0, Committee of the Whole Meeting Dates 2021. Council approved the meeting dates on the third Tuesday of every month at 8:30 a.m. for a Committee of the Whole meeting, with the following exceptions:

March 16, 2021

July 20, 2021

Aug. 17, 2021

Oct. 19, 2021

Agenda item 8.0, Municipal Planning Commission Meeting Dates 2021. That Council approved the scheduling of the 2021 Municipal Planning Commission meetings to be on the fourth Thursday of each month in 2021 with the exception of:

November meeting to be held on Nov. 18, 2021

December meeting to be held on Dec. 16, 2021

Agenda item 9.0, 2020/2021 Board and Committee Appointments. The Kneehill County Council participates on many boards and committees as part of their duties of a Councillor. The appointments are decided annually at the Organizational Meeting, as per the Municipal Government Act. Council appoints members to Boards and Committees for 2020/2021. The County organizational meeting adjourned, and the council went into the regular Council meeting.
