Bethel Church Break-in suspects charged

An 18-year-old Calgary man and a 16-year-old female, of Three Hills, have been charged in the February 23, 2011 mischief, break-in and theft at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church and the Three Hills Good Health store.
Three Hills RCMP charged the female with Mischief over $5,000, Break and Enter, and Theft. The adult male was charged with the above plus Mischief under $5,000 for breaking the outer pane of the Three Hills Good Health store front window.
In addition to over $30,000 in damage to the Church, a portable stereo, overhead projector and DVD player were stolen. The carpets in the auditorium have to be replaced due to broken glass fragments, creating a safety hazard. It was also discovered that those responsible had defecated and urinated on the floor as well.
The name of the adult male could not be released at press-time. The 16-year-old female is a Juvenile and is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
