Local Co-op Housing Project attracts Top Notch Designers

 

A group of area residents are excited to be working with renowned architects, Terry Frost and Kees Prins, who will be designing the townhouse homes for the Three Hills Housing Co-op initiative. Residents met recently in Three Hills to go over preliminary concept plans for the project, which is sponsored by the Town of Three Hills under their Affordable Housing proposal.

Arson suspected in late night barn fire
Acme Fire Department was dispatched to a fire on the east side of their Village Saturday evening, around 11:30 pm. Linden Fire & Rescue was called in for backup, as was Carbon. Carbon was asked to stand down when firefighters realized upon arriving at the scene that an old abandoned barn was already fully involved.
There was no hope to save it, only to control it's spread to nearby fields and a residence, also abandoned. The barn and residence was on Heritage Drive, just across the road fro

The ground breaking ceremony for the new Kneehill County maintenance shop took place on August 17th. The shop is to be built at the same site as the existing shop, and building will begin immediately. Completion is estimated in late spring of 2011. Three Hills Health Centre received a generous donation from Courtney Berg Industries Ltd., of Linden AB., in the form of a new Biliblanket and a new Neonatal Vital Signs Machine.  Pictured are Sandy Courtney and Michelle Shereck, Site Manager.  The equipment will plan an important part in the future care of Kneehill County infants.
