RCMP investigate recent thefts/break-ins

 

Tuesday, November 2 at about 5:15 a.m., an employee of the ATB Linden Branch interrupted a robbery in progress. The employee was on a routine walk with her dogs when she heard glass breaking and observed two males, wearing balaclavas, ramming the front of the bank with a Bobcat. Witnesses also saw a white truck and trailer, as well as another truck suspiciously close to the scene. The employee reached a place of safety and phoned the robbery into police. Changes at Tro-Val School

 

Changes at Tro-Val School: It is not only the principal that has changed. After 33 years of teaching, including the last eight years leading Trochu Valley School, Gib Andruski ended his tenure as principal in June, handing over the reins to Vice-Principal Debbie Barkman. Trochu Town Council Report

 

Barry Kletke will once again take over the reins as Mayor of the Town of Trochu, while Bill Cunningham steps in as Deputy Mayor. Once those formalities were out of the way, October 25's meeting was an evening to exchange and explain. New councillors were advised that although most meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6 pm, there will be a change to three dates in November that will make up for Christmas and the annual convention for Urban Municipalities (Nov. 22-25).
