Trochu is the Pinkest Little Town in the West

 

Trochu has claimed the title of "Pinkest Little Town in the West." From their population of 1,133 Trochu managed to raise over $27,000 for the fight against breast cancer. No doubt about it, the whole town really came together for this event. The total money raised for Wild Pink Yonder 2010 was $75,000. Trochu contributed over 1/3 of that total.

Town of Trochu goes Green

The Town of Trochu wanted their sign lit up, but they didn't want to have to pay a power company each month for the cost of lighting. That's where Dwayne Ibsen stepped in. The owner of IBCO, a renewable energy company, he was able to bring ideas to the table. The L.E.D. lights are wind and solar powered. Connie Osterman donates Acme History Book

Connie Osterman, a former provincial politician and member of the Legislated Assembly (1979-1992) attended an Acme Library sponsored Strawberry Shortcake and Tea on Monday afternoon, October 18 in order to present the Library with a first copy edition of Acme's Centennial History Book. Canadian teens face many tough issues, issues that can make or break a life.
Last weekend, Prairie Bible College hosted its 4th annual Purely Canadian Youth Workers Conference where some of those tough issues were tackled under the theme of "Wreckage."
