Thanks to the generous support of Kneehill area residents, Kneehill Regional Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) was able to meet the demands of 32 families / 60 backpacks through the Tools for School program. This was an increase from last year's 40 backpacks. A large increase in donations was also seen this year, both in supplies and in cash donations. The increase in cash donations was in part due to Kneehill Regional FCSS's ability to provide tax deductible receipts.

Mary Cannings, of Three Hills, was the focus of a Kneehill Area Wellness Centre volunteer appreciation banquet in Carbon last Friday evening, September 24.

Serious injuries avoided
Serious injuries were avoided in connection with a three vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of SR 806 and 575, near the Acme golf course on Sunday afternoon.
At about 2:40 p.m. on September 26, Acme Fire Department, Linden Fire & Rescue, and Kneehill Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

September 26, 2010 at 6:02 p.m. Three Hills RCMP were dispatched to a Vehicle mishap involving a Pedestrian in the Village of Delburne. Delburne Fire and RCMP attended the scene.
As a result of police investigation, it was learned that a white 2004 Ford truck driven by a adult male was traveling west on Main Street in Delburne and struck a 78-year-old male crossing Main Street at 26 Avenue.
