Carbon Lions donate playground equipment to East Carbon Campground

The Village of Carbon and the Carbon & District Recreation Board would like to extend a warm and sincere "thank you" to the Carbon Lions Club for the donation of the playground equipment at the East Campground. Splash Park taking shape

 

Colorful pieces of equipment are part of what will soon be the new water park, located beside the Three Hills Aquatic Center. The splash park / wading pool is in progress, the concrete has been poured, and construction of the mechanical building and washrooms will be starting soon.
The $450,000 project is scheduled to be completed by October 30th of this year, but the official opening will not be until the spring of 2011.

Edmonton – Rural Alberta's Development Fund (RADF) is accepting applications for program funding again. The company will distribute the balance of its funds (approximately $30M) over the next 18 months to satisfy its mandate.
The application process, eligibility and funding criteria remain the same as before. However, the company will be placing an emphasis on supporting projects that build community capacity in rural communities of 20,000 or less.
