Larry Marshall (right) makes a donation of $561.50 on behalf of the employees of Encana. The funds were raised at the Encana/Clearwater District Safety meeting held at the Trochu Community Hall, to the Trochu Fire Dept. Accepting the donation is Deputy Chief Richard Hoppins and Firefighters Elaine McRae and Dennis Lyver. The funds raised will go toward the purchase of new equipment to be added to the Trochu Fire Department's recently purchased rescue unit.

Three Hills RCMP are investigating a bank robbery that took place at 10:47 am, Friday, June 11 at Elnora's ATB Financial. Detachments in Innisfail, Red Deer, Stettler and the Hawks Helicopter, from the Calgary Police Service, were called to service.
According to Sgt. Joe Sangster, a lone male between 5'3" and 5'6" entered the bank, brandished a knife and demanded cash. The culprit left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. It is reported that he then entered a vehicle and fled.

Major injuries avoided in hiway collision
Individuals involved in a T-bone collision at the intersection of SR 806 and 575 on Friday, June 11 are very fortunate to have come away with no major injuries.
A southbound vehicle on SR #806 came to a stop at this intersection, but failing to see an eastbound vehicle, proceeded into the intersection when it was unsafe to do so. The young female driver of the vehicle, from Calgary was ticketed accordingly by investigating RCMP. The eastbound vehicle collided and the two vehicles came to a stop
