Minor injuries result from Train/Grader crash

 

A Kneehill County road grader operator escaped serious injury when he collided with a CN Train on Tuesday morning, June 28.
RCMP at the scene made the call for emergency services to be dispatched. At around 6:30 am, Linden Fire and Rescue and Kneehill Ambulance were dispatched to an area just south of the hamlet of Swalwell, on Township Road 30-0 and Range Road 24-3.

Acme School receives development funds

Acme School will soon expand with the installation of two new modular units for child care programs.
Richard Marz, MLA for Olds/Didsbury/Three Hills, presented a cheque from the provincial government for $200,000 to Ron Kenworthy, Board Chair, Golden Hills School Division at a brief ceremony in Acme on June 26.
The funding will cover costs for site development including hook/up services and the delivery of themodular classrooms from the manufacturing site to the school.

Acme's Centennial celebration parade of Saturday, June 26 had to have been one of the best for length and variety of entries. At around 45 minutes, the length of parade was all anyone could talk about, until one of the many other events of the day caught their attention.
