Margaret (GRETA) Westland Hargreaves passed away June 8, 2010, at the beautiful age of 95 years. She was at home right up until her passing, with her children by her side. Greta was predeceased by her loving husband, George, February 9, 1987. Greta is survived by her three sons, Bruce (Drex) Hargreaves of Calgary, grandsons Jaret Hargreaves & Tyler (Leyla) Hargreaves & great grandsons Kyle & Caleb Hargreaves. Hugh (Deb Desnoyer) Hargreaves of R.R. #4 Innisfail, grandchildren, Wesley Hargreaves & Kari Ann Hargreaves (Scott Hamilton) & great grandchildren Tyler & Kaili Jackson, & their Dad, Brian Jackson. Hal (Carol) Hargreaves of Red Deer, grandchildren Wade (Wendy Pepper) Hargreaves, great grandchildren Devon & Dillon Hargreaves. Candace (Dave) Bundock, great grandchildren Jillian & Graden Bundock. One Daughter Ann (Ernest) Gelinas of Trochu, granddaughters, Shauna Gelinas (Shawn Diggins) & Christina (Richard) Hoppins; and one nephew & 3 nieces & their families. Greta was born May 30th, 1915, in Banff. She was a teacher & taught school for 18 years. She was assistant leader of the Knee Hill Valley Pee-Wee Beef Club for 10 years.Greta has been an active member of the Milnerton W.I. for over 65 years. She has also been an active member & President of St Hilda's Ladies Guild for many years & she attended St Hilda's Anglican Church Arthurvale. She was a member of the Cross Roads Ag. Society & the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104 Innisfail. Greta loved the farm & loved camping with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Hilda's Anglican Church, Arthurvale or STARS Air Ambulance. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11A.M. at Metcalf Funeral Chapel, Innisfail. Condolences to the family may be forwarded from www.metcalffuneralchapel.com.
