GRAHAM, Mildred Mabel

Mildred Graham

September 15, 1927 – May 5, 2017 - Mom peacefully passed into the arms of her Saviour on May 5, 2017 in the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 89 with her daughter at her side - supported by her long-time friend. Mom endured many physical challenges over the years, and for the last 2 months, was admitted to the hospital in Three Hills. Even though Mom was often confused, her mind would clear as we would talk of heaven. We would sing together – and this became one of the favorite songs: There is coming a day,~When no heartaches shall come,~No more clouds in the sky,~ No more tears to dim the eye,~All is peace forever more,~On that happy golden shore,~What a day, glorious day that will be.~There’ll be no sorrow there,~No more burdens to bear,~No more sickness, no pain,~No more parting over there;~And forever I will be,~With the One who died for me,~What a day, glorious day that will be.~What a day that will be,~When my Jesus I shall see,~And I look upon His face,~ The One who saved me by His grace;~When He takes me by the hand,~And leads me through the Promised Land,~What a day, glorious day that will be.~ Mom’s vision was very poor and it was a struggle for many years. What a blessing that Mom can now “see” as she is now walking through the Promised Land. Mildred Graham is survived by her daughter, Sandra Graham of Edmonton, AB and brother Edward (Anneliese) Befus of Strathmore, AB; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mom is preceded in death by her parents; two sons Dwayne and Dwight; husband Stanley Henry; brothers and sisters-in-law: John (Violet), Reinhold (Annie), Gordon (Helen), Wilfred (Frances); sister and brother-in-law Evelyn (Ole).
