Marion Collins

1928-2019 – Marion “Joyce” (Davidson) Collins entered the world March 19, 1928 at their farm east of Three Hills. Joyce was the fifth of eight children born to Gladys and Willard Davidson. Her growing up years were spent happily on the farm with her beloved horse Pet and many other animals whom she loved dearly. Joyce was very good at breaking horses and taking care of animals. She grew up in a close knit family which included four grandparents and many cousins. She enjoyed attending the local one room school a mile south of her home and was a life long student. She married Clifford Collins September 7, 1949 and together they had eight children. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was central to her life and she was a prayer warrior. Joyce was devoted to her children and loved spending time with them. She had many interests which included gardening, memorizing scripture, sewing, canning, reading and attending church. Two words that described Joyce were “Gracious and Loving”. Joyce passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on October 19 with her children by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford, her son-in-law Robert Dau, her siblings and in-laws Jean & (Gerry) Rushton, (Leona) Davidson, Darrel Davidson, Chester Davidson, Gordon Davidson, Ron & (Pat)Davidson, Mickey & (Jenny) Collins, Lawrence & (Betty)Collins. Left to mourn are her siblings Wes Davidson, Ruth Yoder, (Yvonne) Davidson, (Nettie) Davidson, and (Carol) Davidson. Her children Caroll & (Ken) Stankievech, Sean-Calvin & (Lynn) Collins, Susan Dau, Jennifer Collins, John & (Stacey) Collins, David Collins, Les & (Eva) Collins and Dawn & (Greg) Bauer. Twenty-one grandchildren and their spouses, fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews are also left to mourn her. A Celebration of Joyce’s Life with be held at the Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church 123 - 4th Ave S in Three Hills Sunday October 27th at 2:30pm.
