Eva Grace Young was born on November 26, 1929 and passed away November 26, 2019 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital with members of her family to help celebrate her birthday at her request. Eva was born in Trochu and grew up in the Elnora area. She spent her life on the farm northeast of Elnora along Highway 21 with her husband James until his passing in 1978. LINDEMAN, Mel

Mel Lindeman was born November 20, 1924 east of Trochu. He was raised on a farm near Huxley. As a young man, he played ball and later became a die-hard Blue Jays fan. At the age of 21 he set off to Toronto and worked in a radio factory. He returned to Alberta and purchased his farm from Troy Collins in 1956. Mel married Margaret Thurber in 1960.
