TOEWS, Alfred (Fred) Gordon

It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred (Fred) Gordon Toews announces his passing on January 20th, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne (Falk) Toews of 68 years and his children Gwen, Ron (Ann), Ken (Bev), Phyllis, and Lynnette (Bernie). He will also be fondly remembered by his 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Passed away peacefully Jan. 12, 2019 at the Innisfail Hospital. He was born Jan. 12, 1960 in Trochu, AB. He is predeceased by his father Edward. He is leaving behind his mother Lewanna, sister Tonya, brothers Ryan and Kyle, Nieces and nephew Tashina (Nick), Victoria and Jacob, also great nieces and nephew Hunter, Aurora and Addison. As well as many dear friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

SUKKAU, Erna

Erna Sukkau was born on Oct. 25, 1930, the second of 3 girls, to Abram and Agnes Enns. Erna married Henry Sukkau on Aug. 14, 1956. In 1975 Henry and Erna moved to Three Hills in order for their children to receive a Christian education. Henry and Erna lived in Three Hills until the 2000’s when they bought a little house in Linden and remodeled it. They moved into the Linden Lodge in 2014 and enjoyed their time together there. Henry passed away in March of 2017. Erna remained at the lodge

VICKERY, Richard (Dick)

Richard (Dick) Vickery was born on August 10th, 1921 in Calgary, Alberta to Ernest and Gertrude Vickery.The family headed north in 1919 to lay claim to their farm through the Soldier’s Settlement Board at Huxley.Dad attended Hogadone School which was located 1.5 miles north of the Vickery farm.
