Doug passed away after a seven-year courageous battle with cancer. Born in Swalwell, raised on the farm in Sunnyslope, he started his welding apprenticeship in Linden and then at Renn Cupid in Calgary; starting a portable welding business in 1979. He worked at many gas plants and facilities throughout Alberta and enjoyed golfing after work at countless courses. He retired in 2014. Margaret (Boles) Morell-Walkup passed away peacefully at the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Home on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the age of 101. Margaret was born on a farm five miles northwest of Three Hills, Alberta, Canada on August 17, 1919, the second child of Foster and Jeannette Boles.
