She was born on the farm south of Sunnyslope to Lewis and Ida (Ratzlaff) Megli on April 5, 1932, the seventh of ten children. Selma attended Antler School in the Linden area for elementary and junior high, then went to Swalwell for grades 9 and 10. She married her sweetheart Dave Falk on October 21, 1951. Mrs. Rose Patton, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the Tom Baker Centre in Calgary after a short illness with lymphoma. She was 85 years old. Rose was born in 1934 to Pearl and Henry Bondar, the third of four children.
