The RDAC was the place to be last weekend as The Pilots Volleyball teams hosted the PAC Championships.

The Ladies were first to play Friday afternoon taking on Briercrest who won the first two sets, but with the home crowd on their side the Pilots won the next two sets 25-20 and 25-22 forcing a fifth and deciding set where the Clippers out-scored the Pilots 15-10 to win the match in five. Despite the loss head coach Travis Pengra told Prairie Radio “he was proud of how the ladies played, they improved all season and came to a cumulation at that game, even though it was a loss it was actually a win for us because we did play like we knew we could” Later that afternoon in men’s action The Pilots lost three straight to first place Millar Edge 11-25, 15-25, 18-25. Men’s coach Marcus Hirch told Prairie Radio “that even though we did not win this year we still made tremendous progress throughout the season.”

At the Awards banquet Friday night, Ladies coach Travis Pengra was named Coach of the Year and Julie Sept was named to the All-star team.

During the weekend there was the Parade of Athletes and opening remarks by PAC President Kevin Peters, Pilots AD David Petroziello, Glenn Loewen and Mayor Tim Shearlaw. Also a Coaches Panel was held, and a coaches game was played.
