Acme Senior Girls Volleyball bring home Provincial Gold

Acme Girls Provincial Volleyball Gold 2019

Acme Senior Girls brought home the 1A Volleyball Gold medals from Provincials held in Bow Island this past weekend. They went undefeated in the tournament with a 25-12, 25-19 score against Bawlf in the gold medal match.

Pam Wade recounted an amazing season for the Senior Girls team. “They had an overall record of 50 matches won and only three losses, went undefeated in league play, were divisional champions for the third year in a row and were the West Regional Champions. They entered the zone championship as the #1 seed and again went undefeated to claim the South Central Zone banner for the third straight year. Heading to Bow Island for the provincial tournament, every player rose to meet the lofty expectations, playing their best volleyball.”

Melvyn Wade and Leanne Price coached these fabulous athletes and all wish to convey their appreciation to Merv and Connie Rieger at Walbern Agri-Systems for their continued support of Acme’s student athletes and for purchasing the banquet tickets for both the girls and boys teams. The teams were also fortunate to have had a huge support group that also travelled to Bow Island to cheer the team on.
