Carbon to host mixed bonspiel

The Carbon Curling Club is getting ready to wind up the season in style.

"We're having a mixed spiel, where you have two men and two women," outlined bonspiel organizer Troy Appleyard. "It's our first mixed spiel in Carbon for quite a few years and there was a group of us that got together and decided we wanted to try it."

"It's from March 8 to 11 and we're hoping to get 12 teams or more and kind of have a fun mixed spiel to wrap up our season," he continued.

Full house enjoys Harlem Crowns

The bleachers were full and the court “action packed” when the Harlem Crowns took on the four basketball teams, (each for an 8 minute quarter) at the Three Hills School on Wednesday evening, February 15.
The final score was inconsequential as it was really all about the entertainment provided and the fun that was had by all.

Thrashers face off against Alumni

The Three Hills Thrashers held their Alumni game last Saturday with a 5 to 4 win for the Alumni. The Alumni scored two goals in the first few minutes. Thrashers end season with victory

The Three Hills Thrashers put a positive ending on what was an otherwise disappointing 2016-17 in the Heritage Junior B Hockey League.

Friday night, the Thrashers final home game saw them taking on the North division’s third place team, the Red Deer Vipers.
