Acme Red Sox are 2010 Provincial Champions! The Acme Red Sox earned the Provincial Pee Wee Competitive Tier 2 title in Camrose, July 23-25. The Red Sox entered the championship tournament ranked #4 of 8 teams.
Strong hitting throughout the weekend and a deep pitching staff were key factors in their successful weekend. The Red Sox opened up the tournament on Friday with a 14-4 win over the Sherwood Park Athletics. Saturday morning the Red Sox defeated the Grande Prairie Reds 14-6, later on Sat

Two local runners, Lisa Calverly and Devin Woodland, recently participated in the Cochrane Challenge, a half-marathon held on Saturday, June 12. Woodland finished 3rd overall and first in the U20 category. This past weekend, Sunday July 10, Devin competed in the Canmore Challenge (8 km run) held at Canmore Nordic Centre and won first place.

Acme/Linden U18 Soccer win Provincial Gold

With all the controversy surrounding the Soccer Provincials this year, we all were wondering if there would even be any.
Well, they went ahead and what a weekend Acme/Linden had recently.
The U18 Boys and Girls went up and played in St. Albert and BOTH teams brought home Provincial Championships.

Fort St. John Strikers win Tier 4 U16 Provincial Soccer

 

The Fort St. John Strikers took home the Gold medal as Three Hills hosted the Tier 4 U16 Provincial Soccer Championships at Wilson Fields July 9-11. Hinton Whew picked up the Silver medals while the Three Hills Strikers claimed Bronze.
A total of eight teams competed. The other five were Stettler, Thorsby, Vegreville, Linden and Sherwood Park.
