That's Life April 6, 2011

The deadline for submitting your Three Hills Community Needs Assessment is Thursday, April 7, 2011.
If you have yet to fill yours out, please go to the Town of Three Hills website or to and click on the Needs Assessment link. You can also pick up a hard copy, complete with postage-paid return envelope, at BCP Construction, Servus Credit Union, Three Hills Municipal Library, Sears, Kirk's Sheet Metal and many more local businesses.
This Community  Needs Assessment was produced, in partnership, by the Three Hills Social Wellness Committee and Red Deer College. The committee is building on the Town's Integrated Sustainability Plan. The information collected will help to make Three Hills a community where people of all ages live, work and play in a complete way.
The results will be used to guide community program and service development and support funding applications that will enhance the health and wellness of Three Hills.
The annual Three Hills Curling Club Cash Dance is coming up on Saturday, April 16 at the Curling Rink. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased at Adam B. Young Insurance in Three Hills. This is a big night with The Frere Band providing the music. Someone will walk away with $10,000 and many others will win great door prizes compliments of area merchants. Friends Catering will prepare the delicious meal. Over the 30-plus years of the Cash Dance, I have won two caps, one case of oil and one lawn chair. I did win a first aid kit at IDA Pharmacy back in the 70's and one ham at an Elks Ham and Turkey Bingo a few years back but that's about it. Okay, okay put me down for two tickets. At least if I don't win, I can complain about it.
The Prairie Christian Academy is presenting their third annual Fine Arts Gala Thursday, April 14 at the Mount Olive Evangelical Free Church. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $100 and that includes a $75 tax receipt, children 12 and under admission is $25 (no tax receipt). Tickets are available at PCA Schools.
Take in the "Taste of the Philippines" Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser Saturday, April 9, at Mount Olive Church. Doors open at 5 pm, dinner is at 6 pm. Tickets are $25 per person available at the reception desk at Maxwell Centre or at Shell Get 'n Go in Three Hills. Guys And Dolls is a smash and runs its final week April 6-9 at the Three Hills Curling Rink. Get your tickets at Three Hills IGA or the Video Hut. Performances begin at 7 pm nightly and the Saturday matinee goes at 2 pm. Before you know it we'll be counting down to the May long weekend. Graduations are coming right up.
