That's Life - March 27, 2019

Before we know it, we’ll be at the polls to decide who will govern Alberta for the next four years.

The signs are beginning to appear but there really isn’t a lot of time to

decide who you will support if you haven’t already decided.

The 2019 Provincial General Election will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

The Advance Poll Days are: Tuesday, April 9, Wednesday, April 10, Thursday, April 11, Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13.

You can vote in the Advance Polls at the Election Office, in Three Hills, at the Provincial Building  from 9 am - 8 pm.  Returning Officer Office hours are 9-6 weekdays, 10-4 Saturday.

You can register on the Elections Alberta website or you can register at the Election office or when you vote on April 16.

The purpose of Voterlink is to allow voters to register for the first time, update existing information using the registration process, or check to see if you are registered to vote.

You will need an Alberta Driver’s License or an Alberta Identification card.

To register when you vote you will need two pieces of identification with your street address on them like a tax notice and a utility bill.

Regular Polling Stations within Kneehill County are: Acme Community Centre, Carbon Community Centre, Huxley Community Hall, Linden Cultural Centre, Sunnyslope Community Centre, Three Hills Community Centre, Torrington Community Centre, Trochu Baptist Fellowship Centre and Wimborne Community Hall.

A new addition to the Advance Poll system allows anyone, from anywhere in Alberta to vote anywhere. This is a first with Elections Alberta.

I would like to mention the Kneehill Museum Roast Beef Supper and Silent Auction this Saturday at the Three Hills Community Centre. Entertainment will be provided by the Senior Band from the Three Hills School and the Prairie Christian Academy. Tickets are $25 each. Call 403-443-2092 or 443-1221. This is going to be a great evening. I hope to see you there.
