Summer is officially upon us and there’s lots of activity coming up.

This is Canada’s 150th Anniversary and I believe there are more Canadian Flags flying, in Three Hills, than I have ever seen. That is a wonderful thing.

As most of you know, the Town of Three Hills experienced a major water break at the Rob Naylor Splash Park. The extensive damage has been fixed and the Splash Park will be open for the season on Friday, June 23rd at noon, and it’s supposed to be a fine weekend

You know, Sonora Smart Dodd had a really smart idea. She created Father’s Day in honor of her father William Smart. That was back in 1910, in Spokane, Washington.

107 years later we celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday, June 18. This represents the traditional third Sunday in June. By the way, William Smart was a single dad who was a Civil War veteran and cared for his six children, following the death of his beloved, who died during child birth.
