The sun is shining, the birds are singing, the gardens are producing, and combines are going. What else could we possibly ask for?

On August 18, the whist players had a wonderful night. Those who held their banners high were Frank Richardson, Ken Weisenburger, Sandra Meding and Bernice Huxley. Those who hid their banners were Delores Bauer, Bill Marten, Allen Huxley and Pearl Hansen. You’ll remember a few weeks ago, they played Court Whist. So many were paying for the consequences, they didn’t play at all on Aug. 25.

Recent visitors at the home of Ruth Andrews were her grandson, Kelby Wittich and his fiancee, Angela, from Victoria, BC.

Ray and Carol McKeen have just returned from spending three days in Saskatoon, Sask. While there, they attended the 50th wedding anniversary of one of Ray’s childhood friends and his wife.

Visiting recently with Watson and Grace Reed were Chris and Ruth Pelletier of Picture Butte and Bryan and Eileen McComish of Erskine. On Sunday, Wanda Pedersen of Calgary joined them.

Karin Nakaska recently spent a few days in Edmonton visiting her daughter and family, Maurene and Larry Hopkins. Visiting Ed and Karin this past Sunday was their daughter Glenda Smith and children, Taylor and Connor of Calgary.

The yearly Bishop Family Reunion was held the long weekend in August. Approximately 25 people were in attendance and three generations enjoyed visiting and activities at the town campground. Family members were from Killam, Leslieville, Calgary, Three Hills, Prince Albert, SK, Vernon and Campbell River, BC. It is always a special time to be with family.
