We will be forever grateful for the quick and precise actions of the Trochu Fire Department which kept a bad situation from getting much worse.
Our hats off to the Three Hills Fire Department, RCMP and EMS and Kneehill County for their supporting roles. We would also like to recognize all our surrounding municipal communities and local organizations, businesses and individuals who did not hesitate to help in every way they could.

The management team of Sunterra Meats Trochu  would like to thank the people of Trochu and area for their overwhelming show of support to our employees who lost their homes in the Sept 26 fire at the Dog Tired Inn.  Even as the blaze was in progress, offers of assistance for food, clothing and shelter began, so that everyone was well taken care of the first night, and within 24 hours all eight affected people had long term arrangem

A thank you to Pete McRae who took my request to the County Council regarding extending the hours to mornings on two days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) which allows me and others to take garbage to the County Transfer Site before going to the Farmers Market and Seniors Day at the grocery store.
Before, it made a second trip necesary, or I had to keep my garbage in the back of my SUV during the Farmers Market. The smell was not nice in the closed vehicle.
