Sunterra Meats Trochu is now hiring food processing labourers to work in its export oriented pork processing plant. Previous experience in a production line work setting is not required, but would be an asset. The successful candidates will perform a variety of processing and packing tasks in a fast paced environment that is at the same time both safety and quality conscious. Training is provided, with regular evaluations. Job rotation is encouraged, and raises are based on both the skill level and dependability of the worker. This is a physically demanding job, requiring standing in a line position for up to 2 1/2 hours at a time. For the above positions we are offering $13.34/hr to start with a potential top rate of $18.00/hr. Assistance with housing can be arranged for those who may need it. Sunterra Meats Trochu is also looking for a maintenance technician to keep the plant running smoothly. Applicants with an electrical ticket are preferred.
