We would like to thank our elected officials for attending our ceremony. These included our Village Representatives Bruce McLoed and Kelly Klassen and School Trustee Jim Northcott. All the awards below are given out based on the performance of the students in their 2022/2023 school year.

Most Improved Award sponsored by Acme Farm & Building. This award is presented to the grade 10 student that showed the most improvement throughout the school year. Daylin Bedard.

Most Improved Award sponsored by Westland Livestock. This award is presented to the grade 11 student that showed the most improvement throughout the school year. Hunter Morgan.

Meritorious Achievement Award sponsored by Hannah Transport. This award is presented to the grade 11 student that displayed the greatest effort throughout the entire school year. Jay Price

Acme Masons Math Award sponsored by Acme Masonic Lodge No. 60. These awards reward those with the highest mark in Math 10-1. 20-1 & 30-1. Gr. 10–Eryn Lohner 96%; Gr. 11–Judielle Librando 93%; Gr. 12-Brady Bueckert 96%.

English 10-1, 20-1 Awards sponsored by Dan Loewen to the students with honor roll marks and showed the most effort, improvement and appreciation for literature. Gr. 10-Eryn Lohner 95%; Gr. 11-Grace Wood 90%.

Charles Balderson Memorial Award for Social 30 sponsored by Acme Legion & Linden Agri-Centre. This award is presented to the student with the highest mark in Social 30-1. Blayne Bedard 92%.

Phys. Ed. 20 & 30 Awards sponsored by Walbern Agri-Systems Ltd., to the student with a high mark and gave back to the sports program. 20-Evan Gorr 87% 30-Tommy Peters 86%.

Business Education Award, sponsored by Walbern Agri-Systems Ltd. Awarded to the student that had the highest marks and showed the most effort & improvement in the Business Ed. Class. Kaylee Atchison.

Horticulture Award, sponsored by J&B Wittstock Farms. Last year was the first year of offering the Horticulture 10 course in Acme School. We are presenting this award to the student who consistently showcased their proficiency in horticulture, but also a genuine passion for the subject matter. Eryn Lohner 98%.

Village of Acme Community Service Award sponsored by the Village of Acme, to the student who in their grade 11 school year showed the most volunteerism and good citizenship to the school and community. Jay Price.

Village of Linden Leadership Award sponsored by the Village of Linden, to the student in their grade 11 school year who showed the strongest leadership skills. This year we had a tie. Evan Gorr & Judielle Librando.

Principal’s Award, sponsored by Joan Boles and awarded to a student or students who in showed outstanding dedication to their education. Blayne Bedard, Keirstin Metzger & Caitlin Hollands. All 3 completed their Vet Tech certificate program through Olds College while taking a full load of courses. Blayne has continued on her journey to being a Vet by attending post-secondary education in Vermillion at Lakeland College. Keirstin and Caitlin are continuing to work hard on their grade 12 studies looking forward to graduation in June of 2024 and potentially post-secondary as well. Plaques

Anonymous Scholarship. This award is presented to a student who displayed exceptional effort towards their studies at all times and is now attending post-secondary school. Luke Woodall.

Acme Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the 6 town service groups – Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #216, Acme Royal Purple Elks Lodge #103, Prairie Rose Rebekah Lodge #111, Acme Masonic Lodge, Royal Canadian Legion, Acme Seniors Association. Presented to a grade 12 student who has applied for the scholarship, has the highest academic achievement in Social 30-1, English 30-1, and two of Math 30-1 or Math 31 or Biology 30 or Chemistry 30 or Physics 30 and is also attending post-Secondary education. 1st–Blayne Bedard who is at the Lakeland College in Vermillion; 2nd–Jersey Piepke who is attending Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia; 3rd- Luke Woodall who is also attending Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Ian Metzger Memorial Scholarship Award sponsored by Rich & Carole Metzger to a grade 12 student who was involved in any or all of the following activities during their grade 12 year – Sports, 4H, RAP and is now enrolled in Post-Secondary education. Presented by Mrs. Meagan Metzger, wife of Scott Metzger, to Ty Murray.

Kyle Kostrosky and Ryan Wiens Memorial Scholarship awarded to a grade 12 student that showed a passion for sport, education and was highly motivated to do well at both, and also showed good leadership and community involvement. Presented by Nic Weins to Dylan Heidebrecht.

Welsford Community Spirit & Inclusion Award sponsored by Trudianne Dolman nee Trudy Welsford. This award is presented to a student that made a consistent effort to support unique individuals or groups to integrate them into the school or larger community. Grayson Van der Meer Plaque and $750.

Governor General’s Medal awarded to a student who had the highest marks in both grades 11 & 12 – includes all courses and includes diploma exam marks. Presented by Joan Boles to Blayne Bedard 95% Certificate & Medal from Canadian Governor General’s Office.
