Lend a Hand - Become a Volunteer!

FCSS Official Logo

Kneehill Regional Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) has collaborated with the Canada Revenue Agency since 2002 to provide the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) to residents throughout the Kneehill area. Access to the CVITP has consistently increased, with over 200 returns anticipated for the upcoming 2024 tax season.

Volunteers are in need throughout the Kneehill area to provide this important community service to individuals and families with low incomes and simple tax situations. Volunteers assist low-income residents who are unable to pay for assistance and/or complete their returns. A basic understanding of income tax, some computer knowledge, and the desire to help in your community are all you need!

As a CVITP volunteer, you have an opportunity to make a large and significant impact on our area residents. The volunteers who gave their time in 2023 saw the result in over $1,400,000 in credits, benefits and refunds for those residents who accessed the program.
