Hilary Grist to perform Sunday, September 19

Imagine travelling cross-Canada, leaving your musical imprint on the hearts and minds of residents in small towns, living off whatever you could make by passing the hat or hoping against hope that you might pack out the place so you could afford gas to the next town. Imagine small community halls, city cafe's, diner food, different beds every night, the smell of a brisk prairie wind blowing across an empty gas station lot at 3 in the morning. Imagine all this and you'll be thinking about what two young singer/songwriters are experiencing this fall as they make their way from Vancouver to Winnipeg armed with guitars, accordian and a whole lot of vocal power.
Imaginings is the title of Hilary Grist's new album and she tours with her multi-talented, well-traveled friend Sara Ciantar. Each will present a 45 minute set of their unique blend of pop, folk, country, jazz and "small town" musical offerings at the Three Hills Arts Academy this Sunday, Sept 19.
