Linden Fire Department hosts annual Pancake Breakfast

Linden Pancake Breakfast 2021

Linden Fire Dept hosted their annual pancake breakfast this past Saturday, July 17. The regular fare of pancakes, caramel syrup, sausage and eggs was followed by door prizes and a vehicle extrication demonstration.

This year’s donations are going towards the purchase of a 4x4 pickup truck that will be outfitted as a emergency response vehicle for carrying personnel to scenes, responding to medical calls and other light duty activities as needed. The donations received totalled more than $23,000 and set a record for funds raised at the yearly event. The total fundraising goal for the emergency vehicle is $100,000.

The event was exceptionally well attended with approximately 550 people, another record, being served. Bow River MP Martin Shields as well as Olds, Didsbury, Three Hills MLA and Speaker Nathan Cooper were part of the crowd.

The Linden Fire Department would like to thank the following businesses who donated food supplies to the event: Sausage - Cam Chetin, Eggs - Andrew Koehn, Caramel Syrup - Country Cousins Restaurant, as well as everyone who came out to show their support!
