Pursuant to Section 70 & Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, the Village of Carbon is hereby providing notification that an Offer to Purchase on the lands legally described as Plan 4387P, Block 15, Lot 6 for $34,780.20 which is below market value. The parcel is assessed at $40,660.00. CEMETERY – The Village is now accepting tenders for lawn maintenance for the Carbon Cemetery. Please submit sealed bid to CAO, Village of Carbon, 238 Hillside Ave. Mark your bid envelope "Carbon Cemetery Bid". DEADLLINE: April 15.

CAMPGROUND ATTENDANT – The Village is now accepting application for part-time campground attendant for the months of May to October. Duties include collection of camping fees, cleaning of shower houses and campsites, posting reservation signs, responding to complaints. SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS LABOROUERS – One position to start May 1, 2016 the second position to start July 2, 2016. Duties include mowing, weed whipping, painting. Send resume to Box 249 Carbon, AB T0M 0L0; email; or drop off to 238 Hillside Ave.

CARBON COMMUNITY HALL – The hall provides a fully equipped kitchen, wet bar, audio/video system. To book the hall for any events, please contact the Village of Carbon at 403-572-3244, Monday – Friday. The Carbon Library and New Horizons are also situated in the Community Hall, feel free to drop in during the week and check them out.
