FRAUD PROTECTION – Information Session, March 24 at 7 PM, Carbon Community Hall. Presented by the Drumheller RCMP.

SUMMER LIFE GUARD POSITIONS – Employment Opportunities – The Village of Carbon is now accepting applications for its Centennial Swimming Pool Lifeguard Staff, as well as Public Works Labourers. Resumes maybe dropped off at the Village Office c/o CAO, as well as emailed to Deadline: April 24, 2014.

CARETAKER – The Parkview Lodge Society is looking for a Caretaker for the Parkview Lodge in Carbon. This is a 10 unit apartment building for seniors in our community located on Caradoc Avenue. A copy of the Contract is available at the Village Office for more details. Deadline for contract bids is April 24, 2014.

CAMPGROUND ATTENDANT – Carbon is accepting resumes for two part-time campground attendants. Hours per week approximately 10-15, mostly evenings and weekends. Email resume to by March 24.

CEMETARY – The Village of Carbon is now accepting tenders for cutting and trimming of the Carbon Cemetery. Please submit sealed bids attention CAO, and quoting "Carbon Cemetery Bid". Deadline for bids is April 24, 2014.

CARBON AND AREA RESTORATION SOCIETY (CAARS) – Annual General Meeting has been postponed until Wednesday, March 19 at 7 PM at the Farmers Exchange. Anyone interested in joining the society is encouraged to attend.

CARBON LIBRARY – Movie at 12:30, March 21 at the Carbon Community Center, showing "FROZEN". Library hours: Tuesday 4-8; Thursday 10-4:30; Friday 12-3; Saturday 9-2.

LIONS CENTENNIAL PARK PAVERS – Second installation of pavers will be in 2014. Should you be interested in purchasing one, contact the village office. Deadline is April 30, 2014.

MUD STOMP – The second annual Carbon Mud Stomp, June 21. Registrations are now being taken on line at the $40 adults & $15 kid until May 15. After May 15, $45 adults and $20 kids.

CARBON YOUTH SKATE FUNDRAISER – "ROYALLY FLUSHED", runs from May 1-31. If a toilet is placed on your lawn for no apparent reason it is then your job to make a donation of $10 to the Skate Park to have it removed BUT you have the choice of who's lawn it appears on next.
