MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR / CAO – The chosen candidate will be required to be a team player to providing leadership and possessing exceptional communication abilities. Candidates with experience and education in budgeting, finance, and management with a sound understanding of municipal administration and governance will be given preference. SUMMER LIFE GUARD POSITIONS – Village of Carbon is now accepting applications for its Centennial Swimming Pool Lifeguard Staff. CARETAKER – The Parkview Lodge Society is looking for a Caretaker for the Parkview Lodge in Carbon. This is a 10 unit apartment building for seniors in our community located on Caradoc Avenue. A copy of the Contract duties is available at the Village Office. Deadline for contract bids is April 24, 2014.

CAMPGROUND ATTENDANT – Carbon is accepting resumes for one full time or two part-time campground attendants. Approximate 10-15 hours per week, mostly evenings and weekends. CARBON LIBRARY – Spring Craft Fair, May 3, 10 AM - 2 PM at Community Hall. FREE ADMISSION. Tables still available, cost $25.00. Please call Holly for more information 572-3838.

LIONS CENTENNIAL PARK PAVERS – Second installation of pavers will be in 2014. Should you be interested in purchasing one, contact the village office. Deadline is April 30, 2014.

SPRING CLEAN UP – May 20 to 23 between 10 AM & 3 PM. Bins will be placed on the west side of the Village Office. ACCEPTABLE items are: household items, furniture, appliances. NO construction material or electronics.

TOXIC ROUND UP – June 10th between 4 PM & 7 PM at the fire hall. ACCEPTABLE items are: paint, chemicals and all electronics.

CARBON SKATE PARK – Fundraiser May 1 – 31. If a toilet is placed on your lawn for no reason then your job is to make a donation of $10.00 to have it removed and choose whose lawn to place it on next. Contact Renee for more details 823-1873.

FARMERS EXCHANGE – Open May 3-4 from 11-5 in celebration of Mining Days. Regular season starts May 17; Tuesday – Saturday from 12 Noon – 5 PM. Museum Membership drive is on. Cost is $20.00 for 5 year membership or $100.00 for lifetime membership. This will be the last year to view the Carbon Murder Mystery, located upstairs at the Farmers Exchange....DON'T MISS IT!!!
